Phinge Corp. sued Brooklyn Nets LLC and Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network LLC for trademark infringement and unfair competition over the “Netaverse” trademark.
Phinge alleges it has used the trademark “Netverse” since December 2021, and that its application for the mark was submitted in September 2019 and registered in October 2023. It said it filed a trademark application for “Netaverse” in January 2022.
