The Brigham and Women’s Hospital Inc. and a biotech firm filed patent infringement allegations against a Chinese competitor for creating similar products made to help with early disease detection.
Nanomics Biotechnology Co.’s Proteonano Ultraplex Proteomics Platform infringed five patents, said a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Seer Inc. said the competitor copied their product to achieve the goal of assessing proteins and identifying biomarkers for early disease detection.
