Brazil’s National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) on Dec. 9 published Resolution 142/2014, announcing the creation of a new manual for trademark registration.
According to the resolution, the manual establishes the “directives and procedures for the analysis”of trademark requests. The manual will be updated at periodic intervals by INPI’s trademark procedures committee and will be available at the agency’s website.
