Boston Scientific Sues Atraverse Over Tissue-Puncture Device

Boston Scientific Corp. sued Atraverse Medical Inc. for allegedly infringing its patent for a medical device that punctures tissue.

Atraverse sells a medical device that infringes US Patent No. 11,998,238, which relates to medical devices for puncturing tissue like the heart septum using electrical energy, according to the complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Boston Scientific Medical Device Ltd., a subsidiary, is also a plaintiff in the suit.
