Boston Dynamics Expands Fight for Robotic-Dog Patent Damages

Boston Dynamics Inc. broadened its battle over robotic dogs made by Ghost Robotics Corp., alleging that two models infringe four patents that aren’t at issue in another federal lawsuit pending in the same Delaware court.

The latest lawsuit, like the one Boston Dynamics filed in November 2022, targets Ghost Robotics’ quadrupedal unmanned ground vehicles, or Q-UGVs—specifically its Vision 60 and Spirit 40 products—according to a complaint filed Monday and docketed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
