Boston Darts Scoring Company Sues Rival for Patent Infringement

Boston-based DartConnect LLC accused a rival of infringing patents that cover an automated scoring system for the sport of dart-throwing.

The company, which was started in 2014 with a mission to “replace the chalkboard,” accused Darts Atlas LLC of Austin, Texas, of infringing US Patent Nos. 9,989,337 and 10,443,988.

The 10-page complaint, filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas, says Darts Atlas maintains an online platform and kiosk system through its website that infringes DartConnect’s patents.
