‘Boiling Crab’ Sues ‘Boiling Seafood’ in Restaurant Trademark Row

The Boiling Crab LLC, a seafood restaurant chain with locations in California and four other states, has a trademark beef with Boiling Seafood LLC.

The March 15 complaint filed by Garden Grove, Calif.-based Boiling Crab alleges infringement of its trademarked name and red crab logo, as well as a “knock-off” seafood concept modeled after its design.

Boiling Seafood, with two stores in Ohio, has another eatery planned for New York, according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
