Boeing Must Again Face Ex-Partner’s Trade Secret Theft Claim

Alabama Aircraft Industries Inc. will have another chance to prove former partner Boeing Co. misappropriated trade secrets when they worked together to bid on a KC-135 Stratotanker maintenance contract for the U.S. Air Force, the Eleventh Circuit said Monday.

AAI, previously known as Pemco Aircraft Engineering Services Inc., showed that a district court erred by concluding in March 2013 that Alabama’s two-year statute of limitations applied to make the claim untimely, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit ruled.
