BOE Files New Patent Suit in Samsung Dispute Over OLED Tech

Chinese display manufacturer BOE Technology Group Co. hit a Samsung Electronics Co. unit with patent infringement allegations after the competitor filed multiple complaints over the sale of organic light emitting diode displays.

Samsung Display Co.’s OLED technology inside Galaxy smartphones use similar methods to US Patent Nos. 8,704,211, 9,147,772, 12,073,037 and 12,205,506, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
