BMG Rights Management LLC settled a copyright dispute with soul singer Ernie Hines in a case involving allegedly infringing songs by rapper Jay-Z and producer Timbaland, according to a filing in Manhattan federal court.
The settlement agreement, which was signed on Feb. 22 but not disclosed until Thursday in court, doesn’t include attorneys’ fees and costs.
No other details of the settlement were available and Robert Jacobs, an attorney for BMG, said he was unable to comment on its terms. An attorney for Hines didn’t immediate respond to a request for comment.
