BlenderBottle Advances Trademark Suit Over Mr. Pen Shaker Bottle

Trove Brands LLC, which does business as BlenderBottle, can pursue its lawsuit against two online retailers allegedly selling shaker bottles that infringe its trademarks.

The US District Court for the Central District of California has specific jurisdiction over Puerto Rico-based Rumi LLC and Louisiana-based Dius LLC, Judge Josephine L. Staton said in a Thursday order denying the companies’ motion to dismiss.

Allegations brought by Trove and Runway Blue LLC, which licenses the BlenderBottle trademarks to Trove, are enough to establish that Rumi and Dius purposefully directed their activities toward California, the judge said.
