Biotech Onego Sues to Invalidate Every Co. Egg-Protein Patent

Biotechnology firm Onego Bio Inc. told two federal courts competitor Clara Foods Co. withheld information concerning animal-free egg protein-production methods during the process of obtaining a patent it’s cited in litigation threats.

Clara Foods, doing business as The Every Company, solicited information about Onego Bio’s fungus-based technology before seeking protections for US Patent No. 12,096,784, according to complaints Onego Bio filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware and the US District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
