BillFloat Denied Renewed Judgment, New Trial in Trademark Case

BillFloat Inc., which offers business financing services as SmartBiz Loans, was unable to obtain a new legal judgment or jury trial to contest its loss to Collins Cash Inc. over the alleged infringement of its “SmartBiz” trademarks.

BillFloat, the largest Small Business Administration-backed loan facilitator in the country, had obtained trademark registrations for “SmartBiz,” “SmartBiz Loans,” and “SmartBiz Advisor.”
