Big Ass Fans Blows Away Rival’s Patent Claim with Board Ruling

Big Ass Fans won a favorable ruling from an administrative tribunal, erasing a patent claim a rival accused the company of infringing in a separate federal lawsuit.

Lexington, Ky.-based Big Ass Fans, a trade name of Delta T LLC, sued its competitor MacroAir Technology Inc., an industrial fan maker in San Bernardino, Calif., in April 2020. The complaint alleged that the California company had infringed three BAF patents relating to a ceiling fan system.
