A former senior White House adviser for intellectual property in the Obama administration has been named to President-elect Joe Biden’s Commerce Department review team.
Santa Clara University Law’s Colleen Chien will help the incoming Biden administration assess the operations of the department, which includes the Patent and Trademark Office. Chien was President Barack Obama’s senior adviser on intellectual property and innovation from 2013 to 2015.
