Betty Boop Maker Sues Online Stores for Trademark Infringement

Fleischer Studios Inc., the creator of animated cartoon character Betty Boop, sued several e-commerce sellers in Chicago Wednesday for allegedly infringing its trademarks through the sale of counterfeit products.

In a lawsuit filed in the Northern District of Illinois, Fleischer Studios said it identified a number of online storefronts selling counterfeit Betty Boop goods on platforms such as Alibaba, Amazon, eBay, and Etsy without authorization.
