Becton Dickinson Hit With Lawsuit Over Catheter-Insertion Patent

Becton Dickinson & Co.'s medical tools used to insert longer-term intravenous catheters infringe a patent, Bullpup Scientific Ltd. said in a federal lawsuit.

Becton Dickinson’s PowerGlide Pro midline catheter insertion system copies a design feature meant to improve control and stability during insertion, infringing Israel-based Bullpup’s US Patent No. 10,413,706, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
