Bayer Sues for Patent Royalties on Ecomed’s Sales of CT Syringes

Bayer said closely held Ecomed sells syringes designed for use with Bayer’s Medrad Stellant CT Injection System, used to inject “contrast agents” that enhance the quality of images radiologists use to identify abnormalities or diseases, infringing two Bayer patents.

  • Bayer is seeking cash compensation including lost profits and at least a reasonable royalty for past and future infringing sales, according to complaint filed Friday in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware
