Ingevity Corp. lost its bid for judgments that could have erased $84.9 million in damages it owes
Judge Richard G. Andrews denied Ingevity’s renewed motion for judgments in its favor on a host of issues in the case over carbon-scrubbing honeycombs used in automobiles’ fuel-vapor canisters, according to an opinion issued Tuesday. He also rejected its request in the alternative for a new trial.
Andrews found there was sufficient evidence to support the jury’s finding that Ingevity engaged in unlawful tying, exclusive dealing, and tortious interference.
