Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders facilitated and profited from infringement of an iconic game photo his company uses on memorabilia, logos, and for a statue, a photographer’s New York federal lawsuit said.
Allen Kee said Sanders and Barry Sanders Inc. chose and provided a copy of his 1995 photo to the creators of a statute of him outside of Ford Field, where the Lions now play, according to a complaint Kee filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
