Bank of America Fends Off Patent Suit Over Mobile Banking Alerts

Bank of America’s mobile banking applications with automatic alerts doesn’t infringe patents owned by BookIt for a way to make reservations, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled.

• BookIt’s patent is for a way to book reservations and sync bookings but conceded that it couldn’t prove its case after the trial court interpreted key terms of the patent
