Absentee voters in Wisconsin can return their ballots to drop boxes, the state’s high court ruled in a case that pitted Gov. Tony Evers (D) and a voting outreach group against the state legislature’s Republican majority.

The liberal majority Wisconsin Supreme Court Friday overruled its own 2022 decision—handed down from the then-conservative leaning court—that prohibited municipal clerks from setting up secure drop boxes for the return of absentee ballots.
