Exercise-equipment maker Balanced Body Inc. accused a Hudson Valley Pilates studio of infringing design and utility patents with knockoff equipment in a federal lawsuit.
Pilates Club Middletown and its founder Ety Deutsch’s use of reformer machines, which feature a movable carriage for core exercises, infringe seven patents, Balanced Body alleged in a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
