Automotive Patent Suit Against LKQ Corp. Unit Nears Settlement

An LKQ Corp. unit is in settlement discussions in a lawsuit accusing the automotive equipment distributor of infringing patents concerning remote programming systems.

Keystone Automotive Industries Inc., doing business as Elitek Vehicle Services, and patent owner Repairify Inc. asked the court to stay deadlines in the dispute for 30 days as they finalize their agreement, according to a joint motion filed Wednesday—on the eve of jury selection—in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
