A group of 10 authors, with the help of the country’s largest organization representing writers, sued two “predatory” book publishers for failing to pay royalties and delaying providing royalty statements to the authors.
The complaint said Authors’ Place LLC and Motivational Press Inc. “employed different tactics to stymie their authors,” including ignoring and refusing their requests, and threatening the authors with destroying their books.
