Firearms accessory maker Atrius Development Group Corp. sued a rival it alleges filed “unfounded” patent suits against its customers.
Atrius’ complaint, filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas, seeks to invalidate a newly issued patent that Rare Breed Triggers signaled it would be adding to suits filed starting in January and targeting nine Atrius customers or resellers. Atrius previously filed a declaratory judgment suit based on the allegations in those cases that Atrius’ customers infringed a trio of related patents.
