AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Accused of Ripping off 5G Technology

The three largest wireless telecommunications networks in the US built critical high-speed data transmission capabilities into their cellular towers without properly licensing that technology, according to a trio of Texas lawsuits.

AT&T Inc., T-Mobile US Inc., and Verizon Communications Inc. allegedly refused to license essential 5G technologies covered by 11 patents owned by Pegasus Wireless Innovation LLC, which acquired rights to that intellectual property from Korean telecom pioneer, KT Corp.
