ASUSTek Owes $18 Million in Memory, Data-Security Patent Suit (1)

ASUSTek Computer Inc. must pay ACQIS LLC $18 million for creating and selling computer hardware components that infringe several patents, according to a Texas federal jury.

Asus and its subsidiary Asus Global Pte. Ltd. built and sold laptops, desktops, servers, and motherboards using ''methods for central processing units, memory and data security technology” infringed US Patent Nos. 9,529,768 and 8,756,359, the jury in the Western District of Texas determined March 22.
