ASUSTeK Computer Inc. and Atlas Global Technologies LLC settled a patent infringement dispute regarding state-of-the-art wireless network technology just days before jurors were set to begin hearing evidence in a federal trial in Waco, Texas.
Taiwanese tech manufacturer ASUS and the Austin-based patent monetization company reached a joint resolution of “all matters in controversy between” them “via a binding term sheet,” according to a Dec. 2 filing. Judge Alan Albright, who was to preside over the Waco trial, quickly granted the companies’ request for a 60-day halt to complete the settlement process, according to a separate docket entry.
