Asics Sues Retailer Over Unauthorized Sneaker Sales on Amazon

Athletic footwear company Asics America Corp. filed suit against Justdoit4less.com LLC and its operator for allegedly selling unauthorized products bearing Asics trademarks on Amazon.

Asics alleges the defendants have operated an Amazon storefront called Webzom where they sold Asics-branded products without authorization, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California. Customers who purchased from Webzom allegedly received damaged, used, or incorrect products, leading to negative reviews that hurt Asics’ brand reputation.
