Arista Networks Inc. agreed to pay Cisco Systems Inc. $400 million to settle claims it copied Cisco’s technology, hours before the scheduled start of a jury trial in which Arista was going on the offensive, accusing Cisco of anti-competitive conduct and seeking damages.
Under the agreement, posted Aug. 6 in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, all pending federal court and U.S. International Trade Commission cases between Arista and Cisco will be dismissed.
