Apple’s iPhone 15 Targeted by Patent Suit Hours Into Preorders

Preorders for Apple Inc.’s four iPhone 15 models began Friday, and before noon the tech giant was hit with a lawsuit seeking royalties for alleged infringement of a patent for an ultra-wide lens.

ImmerVision Inc., a private Canadian tech company, already has three cases pending in Delaware federal court accusing a range of iPhone models and the iPad Pro 2021 of infringing one of two patents related to the lenses on Apple’s flagship devices.
