Apple Watch Imports at Risk if ITC Fails to Act, Judge Warns (1)

A federal judge said Thursday she’s “loathe” to block Apple Watch imports but may reconsider if the US International Trade Commission dispute between Apple Inc. and Masimo Corp. stalls.

Judge Ana C. Reyes said she won’t allow Masimo to be “jerked around” between multiple venues while Apple and federal agencies argue over who should decide how to enforce the ITC’s October 2023 exclusion order on watches with blood-oxygen sensors. The remark came during a status conference at the US District Court for the District of Columbia as part of Masimo’s lawsuit against US Customs and Border Protection.
