Apple TV’s ‘Tetris’ Movie Copied Tech Reporter’s Book, Suit Says

The biographical film “Tetris” released this year on Apple TV about the race to license the popular video game unlawfully copies from his 2016 book about the game’s history, tech journalist Dan Ackerman alleged in a copyright infringement suit.

The complaint filed Monday in Manhattan federal court said the movie recreates the “exact same feel, tone, approach, and scenes” as his book, titled “The Tetris Effect: The Game that Hypnotized the World.”
