Apple Settles iTunes Copyright Suit Over ‘Tin Pan Alley’ Music

Apple Inc. settled a lawsuit claiming that it infringed the copyrights of more than 100 songs created by Tin Pan Alley musicians after three UK-based companies uploaded the songs to the iTunes music store.

The details of the settlement, which was docketed on Wednesday, weren’t immediately available. Attorneys for Apple and the copyright holders, including SA Music LLC, didn’t immediately respond to Bloomberg Law’s request for comment.
