Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, and other tech giants must continue to defend themselves from a patent infringement case involving 4G wireless technology, the District of Delaware ruled Feb. 21.
Summary judgment is inappropriate because of questions concerning the validity of Evolved Wireless LLC’s patents and whether they were standard essential patents that required it to offer reasonable terms for a license, the court said.
