Apple Must Face Some Copyright Infringement Claims in iTunes Row

Apple Inc. beat claims in San Francisco federal court that it willfully infringed the copyright of over 100 songs by hosting pirated versions of those songs on the iTunes store, but still faces infringement claims for making the songs available, as opposed to actually selling them.

SA Music LLC, which claims to own the copyright to 101 songs authored by three Tin Pan Alley musicians, sued Apple and three other U.K.-based companies in 2020, alleging those companies uploaded the infringing songs to iTunes.
