Apple Loses Appeal to Move Haptic Patent Dispute Out of Texas

Apple Inc. failed to convince the Federal Circuit that a lawsuit over its use of haptic technology should be transferred from Texas to California.

District Judge Alan D. Albright plausibly found deficiencies in Apple’s argument that the US District Court for the Western District of Texas case brought by Resonant Systems Inc. should move to California because most of the relevant employees work there, the US Court of Appeals Federal Circuit said in an order issued Wednesday.
