Apple, Google Hit By Patent Suits For Smartwatch Health Monitors

Smartwatches like Apple Inc.‘s Apple Watch and Google LLC‘s Fitbit infringe WristDocs LLC’s biotelemetry system patent, several federal complaints alleged.

WristDocs filed multiple lawsuits in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas on July 24, accusing Apple, Google, and others of developing and selling health monitors that violate its exclusive right to commercialize its patented, wrist-worn system for monitoring the vitality of its users.
