Apple Fails to Escape Antitrust Class Action Over iCloud Storage

Apple Inc. failed to quickly dodge a proposed class action alleging the company illegally monopolized the market for cloud storage by effectively requiring Apple device users to purchase its iCloud storage platform.

Judge Eumi K. Lee on Monday denied Apple’s motion to dismiss the antitrust suit after the plaintiffs, a group of iCloud users, brought renewed claims in their amended complaint which claimed the tech giant improperly restricted third-party cloud storage companies accessing Apple user files.
