Apple failed to convince the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit that some of the claims on MPH Technologies Oy’s U.S. Patent No., 9,712,494, No. 9,712,502, and 9,838,362 were obvious, the court found in a precedential opinion. The ruling affirmed the Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s determination upholding the validity of one of MPH’s patents.
