Apple Said to Drop Objection to Prepear Mark After Logo Tweaked

Apple Inc. agreed to drop its opposition to a proposed pear-shaped trademark logo after startup Prepear agreed to alter its pear-shaped logo, Prepear’s founder said.

Super Healthy Kids Inc. settled the dispute by agreeing to tweak its pear—which Apple said would confuse consumers and dilute its logo—by making the bottom of two rounded leaf sides straight, it said a Feb. 9 filing at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
