Apple Device Push Notifications Infringe Patents, Suit Says

Apple Inc. infringes two patents for securely delivering data to end-user devices, according to a federal lawsuit.

Headwater Research LLC alleges that Apple’s products like mobile devices, tablets, wearables, TV devices, and servers that use the Apple Push Notification service to send notifications to apps infringe its patents, according to a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
