Apple Appears to Have Edge at App Store IP Enforcement Hearing

A federal judge cast doubt on the merits of Musi Inc.'s lawsuit accusing Apple Inc. of breach of contract by removing its music streaming app from the App Store based on what it says are “unsubstantiated” intellectual property complaints.

Judge Eumi K. Lee pressed Musi about whether it had read requirements into Apple’s agreement with developers that aren’t part of its terms, during a 45-minute hearing Wednesday on Apple’s motion to dismiss in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
