Apple Accused of Copying, Removing Email App From Store

Apple Inc. allegedly copied a developer’s patented messaging technology for its “Sign In With Apple” feature, then removed the developer’s app from the App Store to stifle competition, a new lawsuit filed in Delaware federal court alleges.

Apple infringes Blix Inc.'s patent covering a method for letting parties communicate using public email addresses without revealing private email information, according to an Oct. 4 complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
