Apparel Brand Accuses Google of Infringing Design Copyrights

Apparel brand Weekend Warrior Clothing LLC filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Google LLC alleging the tech giant is infringing its copyrighted apparel designs by displaying and advertising certain products through Google’s Shopping Ads program.

The complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio alleges violations of the federal Copyright Act. Weekend Warrior owns numerous registered copyrights for its original apparel designs featuring patriotic, pop culture, and humor themes, according to the complaint.
