Anthropic PBC must turn over details about its executives’ salaries to authors suing the company for using pirated copies of books to train AI models.
Judge William Alsup instructed Anthropic to produce executives’ stock ownership and salary, under seal, one week before they’re set to serve as witnesses at trial slated for December. The authors demanded the information to show potential bias in witness testimony, while Anthropic argued the disclosure would invade the officials’ privacy.
