Antarctica Films Says Spanish-Language Show Violates Copyright

A Florida film production company that created a documentary called “El Recordador” and a related TV show of the same name alleged that another company’s TV program, called “Initiation,” copied the plot, themes, dialogue, and other elements of the original show.

Antarctica Films Inc. said in a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado that it entered into a production agreement in January 2018 with Matias De Stefano, an individual who “believes he has lived many different lives spanning hundreds of years, and that he has the ability to recall all of them.”
