The Patent Trial and Appeal Board will review a patent owned by Peloton Interactive Inc. as part of an ongoing dispute with rival Echelon Fitness Multimedia LLC.
Peloton sued Echelon in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware alleging several models of its Smart Connect line of exercise bikes infringe U.S. Patent No. 10,639,521 related to computer-augmented exercise classes over a network. Echelon struck back by seeking agency review of the patent.
