Endovascular Engineering Inc.’s catheter-based system for removing blood clots from vessels infringes three patents covering technology used in AngioDynamics Inc.’s competing systems, a federal lawsuit said.
Angio alleged E2’s Hēlo thrombectomy system infringes US Patent Nos. 8,613,717, 11,589,880, and 12,496,077, according to a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. It seeks damages including lost profits and a reasonable royalty, and preliminary and permanent injunctions barring further unauthorized use of the technology.
